Rabu pagi, 5 Juli 2017, seorang kolega mengabarkan adanya undangan dari Google untuk mengikuti Mobile Hackathon yang akan diadakan mulai esok hari, 6 dan 7 Juli 2017. Google hanya mengundang beberapa startup dan perusahaan terkemuka di Jakarta untuk mengirimkan tim mereka. Mereka adalah BCA, Bukalapak, Kompas, Tokopedia, Traveloka, Jd.id, Viva, Blibli, Elevenia dan kami, Tiket.com.

Kami sempat mengira kalau hackathon kali ini lebih mengarah pada pembuatan mobile apps, maka tak hayal tim yang hendak dibentuk adalah dari engineer iOS dan Android. Kemudian datanglah pemberitahuan kalau teknologi mobile yang hendak diimplementasikan adalah Progressive Web Apps (PWA) dan Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP).
